Full Schedule of Events
The Intrepid Museum offers activities for all ages along Pier 86 during Fleet Week. Meet veterans and those who currently serve, take in a performance on the main stage or engage in hands-on learning activities with partners and Museum educators.

WHAT'S ON

Friday, May 26

Free Movie Night: Flight Deck   | 7:00pm
Celebrate the ship’s 80th commissioning anniversary and enjoy our free summer movie series featuring classic “ship” themed films. The Intrepid Museum’s summer movie series kicks off Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 26 with a free screening of Top Gun!

Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets to view the film outdoors, free of charge, on a huge inflatable screen on the flight deck. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited. Light concessions will be sold onsite, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is NOT permitted.

All exits are final; there is no re-entry allowed. Doors open at 7:00 pm. Movie will begin at sunset. (Doors will close at 9:00pm)

The film will have open captions. OC icon
Current and former service members and their guests are invited to use the priority member line. No advance registration required.

Center for American Military Music Opportunities Presents: Donnie Isaacs and Low Country | 1:00pm, Pier 86
Low Country has a vintage country sound and includes Combat Veteran Donnie Isaacs, Army Veteran Aaron Isaacs and Jim Hurricane Whitaker. Aaron is a combat veteran and a proud member of CAMMO (Center for American Military Music Opportunities). He has also performed in the Invictus games and on America's Got Talent with Voices of Service.

9:00am Memorial Day ceremony
Join us for a solemn ceremony honoring the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who have given their lives in defense of our nation. Civic and military leaders will offer remarks and join in a special wreath laying ceremony in honor of the fallen. The ceremony concludes with a flyover by Navy fighter jets.
The ceremony will be live-streamed on Facebook Live and YouTube. Please join us as we commemorate those we've lost.

Real-time live captioning will be available. A link will be provided so attendees can follow the captioning on their phone or tablet during the ceremony.
A t-coil compatible induction loop will be set up around the ceremony seating.
